REVIVAL PLAN FOR THE RUKUNEGARA?? YAU MOU GAU....CHOR!!

The long-forgotten Rukunegara — the clutch of principles that should underpin the Malaysian way of life — is set to be revived.

The pledge will be recited after the singing of Negaraku at all official functions and assemblies of government departments and agencies, the Government announced today. A five-year campaign to promote the Rukunegara will also be launched next month. This decision could not come at a better time. A New Straits Times straw poll of 30 Malaysians showed that half of them could not remember the principles, even after some prompting.And the surprising fact was that the younger the person polled, the more likely he or she fell into the "I can’t remember" category’.

Boya kesan tsunami akan dipasang di Langkawi?? YAU MOU GAU....CHOR!!

LANGKAWI 8 Dis. - Kerajaan akan meletakkan salah satu daripada tiga boya pengesan tsunami-gempa bumi sebagai sebahagian daripada Sistem Amaran Awal Tsunami Kebangsaan (SAATNM), di utara pantai Langkawi, bulan ini.
Dua boya yang lain akan diletakkan secara berperingkat-peringkat di Laut China Selatan dan di luar pantai Sabah tidak lama lagi.
Menteri Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi, Datuk Seri Dr. Jamaludin Jarjis berkata, bagi membolehkan sistem berkenaan berfungsi dengan berkesan dan memberi ruang yang cukup untuk bertindak balas, ia perlu diletakkan kira-kira 600 kilometer dari pantai Langkawi. (click title for full news)

Minor scruffs disappear like magic in about a week if your car has Scratch Guard Coat, a clear paint that the carmaker developed with Nippon Paint, spokesman Kiyoshi Ariga said. The coating, which Tokyo-based Nissan Motor Co says is the first of its kind in the world, contains elastic resin, similar to a rubbery surface, and can repair itself of slight scratches caused by car-washing, off-road driving and fingernails. MALAYSIA’S top woman player Nicol David created history when she emerged as the first Asian and the youngest world women’s squash champion last night.

Plat siri JJJ raih RM3.2 juta??? YAU MOU GAU....CHOR!!!

JOHOR BAHRU 1 Dis. - Plat pendaftaran kenderaan siri JJJ yang dikeluarkan oleh Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) Johor mencatat sejarah apabila mencapai kutipan hasil sebanyak RM3.2 juta.
Ketua Pengarah JPJ, Datuk Emran Kadir berkata, kutipan hasil tersebut merupakan nilai tertinggi diperoleh bagi plat abjad pendaftaran kenderaan yang ditender berbanding di negeri-negeri lain.
Menurut beliau, siri JJJ mendapat sambutan hebat sehinggakan JPJ terpaksa menangguhkan pendaftaran kenderaan bagi abjad itu kerana proses tender yang mengambil masa panjang untuk diselesaikan.
Beliau berkata, berikutan sambutan yang menggalakkan itu, JPJ negeri telah mengeluarkan abjad JJK bagi memastikan urusan pendaftaran kenderaan berjalan lancar.
``Bagi kategori pertama, 10 nombor dan siri JJJ yang ditender meraih kutipan sebanyak RM551,000 dan kebanyakan mereka yang memilih plat tersebut bukan sahaja dari Johor tetapi juga dari negeri-negeri lain.
``Saya pernah menjadi Pengarah JPJ Selangor sejak tahun 1991 dan ini merupakan kutipan paling tinggi dalam sejarah pendaftaran kenderaan bagi abjad itu,'' katanya. (click on title for full news)
