Comment:
For the first time, YAU MOU GAU...CHOR!! Blog is giving a GOOD comment to PROTON. The Proton's Slogan of "DARE to CHANGE" is being proven now. As far as the Management of Proton is taking serious action on car's quality issues, I believed the quality problems of PROTON cars will be solved. Basic rule of a Successful business is ALWAYS LISTEN to Customer's says!!! Customer's Satisfactions No.1!!

Good Move!! Only this time PROTON.....MOU GAU...CHOR!!

hey that is NOT a good move from proton.

why cant they take customer's feedback insteasd? every single day there is complaints on Gen-2. I am sure they have thousands of complains at the Service Centre.

Why waste money and "give" the cars away?

I believe they are bribing the journalist in return for a good review in the newspaper/magazines.

NST mentioned that they are checking which of their journalist is still keeping the car.

Okay if you said it is bad move...then pls tell me what is the right way to get the right picture of quality problems issues?

Apparently, different ppl got different judgement especially the Noise issue. Some of the ppl might feel problem and some might said Okay.

I believed these journalist had more experienced on cars than the Normal ppl (Potong's customers), they can make a comparison of problems based on their driving other cars or competitor's car experienced rights?

These journalists if not MINUM KOPI, hopefully they will make the true report to POTONG and to public whether those problems are being solved or not. Also whether it is serious or not compare to others Auto.

Waste money?? why say so, POTONG have many STOCKs lah, instead of keeping it why not using it for Testing feedback. And the numbers are not big too, rights?

YAU MOU GAU..CHOR!! Cheers! Only my personal opinions Okay!

dear master,

it is reported that they allocated 70 cars for "review and testing".

take gen2 & savvy together and the average is RM50,000-00 per unit, (round figure la).

50,000 X 70 = 3,500,000 personally, that is a lot of money.

and i strongly believe 70 units are at the lower end of the figure. what bout the other "review and test" models like waja, wiras, banana etc?

proton should listen to customer because:

feedback from customer like noise and stuff, if we customer say that the car make so much noise, then i think proton should listen to us.

journalist can say its not making any noise at all, that is their opinion.

but who is buying the car? the journalist or US, the public? who they should please, jounalist or public?

Dear K arr!!

First of all, I think the car price of RM50K is not the real figure. Why? Do you remember Dr. M said before the real car price per unit is only RM15k to RM20k. So, this investment still can be consider low.

I do agreed with you on right investment and customer's direct feed back to POTONG is important.

But the thing is how can POTONG listen to each single customers problems? by email or media? how?

Firstly, it will take long time to spend by POTONG with these customers, some might be reporting fake info. Appointment also difficult to do too, rights?

Next, in general all cars don't care of which brands, there will be problems and it can be grouped as minor and major problems rights?

I personal believed that, once POTONG indentified the common problems or areas by journalist then customers feed back will be taking care later. Public can inform these journalist when they read those report later.

Of course if you say POTONG's car had Million of unknown problems occured where these journalists did not report it, that might causing problems or failures to this AUDIT. Apparently, the problems of noise is not much, only minor issue and Broken parts is the Major issue here. Don't you agreed?

Anyway, thank you for giving your opinions on this issue.

YAU MOU GAU....CHOR!!! to myself why Write so Long one!!

If you have time, try to read this article. I just pick it from somewhere.

Summary: POTONG should listen to customers and solve the problems. Don’t just say Biasalah it is POTONG. or no problems lah boss!

*************************************************************

Read this, absurd but true.

This is a real story that happened between a customer of General Motors and its Customer-Care Executive . Pls read on…..

A complaint was received by the Pontiac Division of General Motors:

‘This is the second time I have written to you, and I don’t blame you for not answering me, because I sounded crazy, but it is a fact that we have a tradition in our family of Ice-Cream for dessert after dinner each night, but the kind of ice cream varies so, every night, after we’ve eaten,
the whole family votes on which kind of ice cream we should have and I drive down to the store to get it.

It’s also a fact that I recently purchased a new Pontiac and since then my trips to the store have created a problem…..You see, every time I buy a vanilla ice-cream, when I start back from the store my car won’t start. If I get any other kind of ice cream, the car starts just fine.

I want you to know I’m serious about this question, no matter how silly it sounds “What is there about a Pontiac that makes it not start when I get vanilla ice cream, and easy to start whenever I get any other kind?”

The Pontiac President was understandably sceptical about the letter, but sent an Engineer to check it out anyway. The latter was surprised to be greeted by a successful, obviously well educated man in a fine neighbourhood.

He had arranged to meet the man just after dinner time, so the two hopped into the car and drove to the ice cream store. It was vanilla ice cream that night and, sure enough, after they came back to the car, it wouldn’t start.

The Engineer returned for three more nights. The first night, they got chocolate. The car started. The second night, he got strawberry. The car started. The third night he ordered vanilla. The car failed to start.
Now the engineer, being a logical man, refused to believe that this man’s car was allergic to vanilla ice cream. He arranged, therefore, to continue his visits for as long as it took to solve the problem.

And toward this end he began to take notes: He jotted down all sorts of data: time of day, type of gas uses, time to drive back and forth etc.
In a short time, he had a clue: the man took less time to buy vanilla than any other flavour. Why? The answer was in the layout of the store.
Vanilla, being the most popular flavour, was in a separate case at the front of the store for quick pickup. All the other flavours were kept in the back of the store at a different counter where it took considerably longer to check out the flavour.

Now, the question for the Engineer was why the car couldn’t start when it took less time. Eureka- Time was now the problem - not the vanilla ice cream!!!!

The engineer quickly came up with the answer: “vapour lock”. It was happening every night; but the extra time taken to get the other flavours allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently to start.
When the man got vanilla, the engine was still too hot for the vapour lock to dissipate.

Remember :
Even crazy looking problems are sometimes real and all problems seem to be simple only when we find the solution , with cool thinking. Don’t just say it is “IMPOSSIBLE” without putting a sincere effort….Observe the word “IMPOSSIBLE” carefully…. Looking closer you will see, “I’MPOSSIBLE”…What really matters is your attitude and your perception.
