Malaysian born Jemaah Islamiah leader Noordin Mohd Top is alleged to have appeared in a video tape threatening attacks on Western countries and their allies.
Wearing a balaclava, the former UTM lecturer waved his finger as he made his threats against the countries and their leaders. Among them were:
THE United States, Britain, Italy and Australia;
US President George W. Bush, British PM Tony Blair, Australian PM John Howard and his Foreign Minister Alexander Downer.
Three suicide bombers seen at three crowded Bali restaurants last month also appeared in the video. Late yesterday, JI master bomb maker Dr Azahari Husin, another former UTM lecturer, was buried at a Muslim cemetery in Jasin, Malacca.
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak denied that Malaysia had ever financed Noordin or Dr Azahari, saying if there had been any funds for them, the money came from individuals sympathetic to the JI.
